You're my best friend and I love you...

Hey guys! I'm back... Finally.
Well, it has definitely been a busy few weeks, deadlines coming out of my ears, preparing for summer, job hunting and of course the end of year celebrations, of which there has been many.
So good news, got a job for the summer! That means no sitting around bored and moderately depressed like last summer. I finished Uni only a couple of weeks ago, and already I am crazy bored, can't wait to start work and get a proper routine going!
Anyway. As I have still not got round to uploading my last outfit post, when I was on a visit at home, here it is. I apologise for the moody face, I promise I was in a good mood!

Tee - Topshop, Skirt - Ark, Boots - Office, Cardigan - Primark, Earrings - Topshop, Glasses - Borrowed

I realise I posted this outfit way back last year, however, I love it so I thought I'd post it again.
This skirt is one of my faves. As it the tee. Cannot wear them enough!

Quick question, as my camera appears to have permanently gone crazy, do any of you guys have any reasonably priced cameras that you would recommend? Mine is doing my head in!

I am now off to watch 2 Broke Girls and continue my lovely night in with the boy.

Ciao Ciao for now!

Do you think we'll be in love forever? Do you think we'll be in love...

So tonight I had a little night out, which was a lovely and much needed break from being in my house on my own. I should not have gone, as A, I have far too much work to be doing, B, supposed to be saving my money and C, was meant to be starting my fast today.
All of these things have failed. Disaster.
Anyway, on a positive note, I had a half successful shopping trip today, the results of which, I wore tonight.

Pinafore dress - River Island, Mock Denim Bandeau - Newlook, Boots - Office, Earrings - Topshop Watch - Fossil

So I bought these things today to cheer myself up, and because I felt like I had been far too sensible with my birthday money so far. I have to say, the pinafore has a very odd fit. As much as I love it, it is supposed to be crossed over at the back only once, however, the straps are so insanely long that the only way I could get it to fit was to twist it over and over again! Still, for £20 I can't really complain, seeing as I usually find River Island to be fairly over priced.
I thought it would go well with the denim bandeau for a night out as it made it look a little dressier, but I will normally be paring it with a sheer cream shirt.
I also did something new today and actually experimented with new make up. I normally wear the same make up every day and never change my style, however today I wanted to add a little colour into the mix. I invested in a Barry M eyeshadow pencil in Purple, and I have to say, I have never been so impressed with a make up product. I have very sensitive skin and find that alot of products bring me up in a rash or make my eyes water, however, this one was absolutely fine. It was also very easy to create the shape I wanted, with sharp pointed flicks at the end of each eye, a look that I have never been able to create with a brush.
If you are a bit of a make up novice like myself then I would say it is definitely worth investing.

On that note, I am off to finish watching Pirates of the Caribbean and to get some sleep as my house is cold and creepy and I am extremely shattered. Not to mention I have to be up fairly early tomorrow to crack on with even more work tomorrow as I did precisely nothing today. The fear is definitely kicking in now. Cannot wait for it all to be over.

Anywho.
Good night my lovers!

Sugar skulls and candy canes.

Sorry for the late or extremely early post, depending on what way you look at it, but I have been out tonight and don't yet feel like sleeping I thought I'd do an outfit post of a new dress I bought a couple of weeks ago.

Tonight has finally been the night for our Uni fashion Show, Sweet Dreams. It was a massive success. Everybody worked so hard to put together a fabulous show and I'm pretty sure I can speak for everyone when I say that we can be pleased with the results.
An outfit post for what I wore tonight will be done another day, as I was rather merry and didn't get many decent pictures, not to mention I got half a pint of Disarano knocked over me by a quick handed bar maid.
So in the mean time... This is the new dress I bought last week, and lived in ever since!

Dress - H&M, Shirt - River Island, Earrings - New Look, Boots - Office.

Now I'd picked up this dress nearly every time i'd been in H&M for about 3 months because I thought it was so cute, then when I went to return a dress I have bought in London a few weeks ago I saw it again and couldn't resist it. This dress is seriously flattering and a massive bargain at only £14.99. I think it works best over a shirt, but that is just me. Anything to hide the bingo wings.

Now I am off to go and fill my hot water bottle and attempt some sleep. Shouldn't be too hard as deadline week caused me to do a thirteen hour stint in the library over night last night.
Also for any of you who happen to venture into the library at ridiculous hours at night, how bloody strange is that?! I witnessed a group playing a human game of Pacman around the aisles and some dude attempting to fit as many maryland cookies into his mouth as possible out of sheer boredum. Mental.
Anyway.
Sleepy time.

Nahnight ma beauts.

Poker face.

Hey guys!
So it was my 21st birthday on Tuesday. Bit of a disastrous night to be quite honest, except for a special few who helped to make it better. And the boy of course, who made sure I was having the best night possible, considering my birthday falls on deadline week and everyone is skint because it is the end of term!
Anyway. This post is mainly to show off my beautiful new dress that was one of my presents from him. Boy done good. ;)

Earrings - Topshop, Dress - Sugarhill Boutique, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell.

Now I have been after this dress for quite some time. I first fell in love with it last summer, but considering I was living out of my overdraft, I could not quite justify the price tag. Although for those of you who read last summer will know I couldn't really justify half the stuff I bought. Anyway. Last week I thought I would just have a browse on their site and saw it had gone into sale! After nearly having a heart attack at the fact they still had it in my size I hinted extremely heavily at the boy to buy it as a birthday present. And to my joy, he did!
The dress was delivered quickly. It was ordered on the Friday night and was here by Tuesday, and I have to say I could not be happier with it. The pattern is unlike anything I have seen before and is just the right amount of girly for me. The fabric is beautiful and floaty, but the dress is properly lined so there is no fear of any underwear sneaking into view.
Having worn this dress I would have to say I will definitely consider their price tags from now on as the quality and fit of this is totally worth the money!

This evening I am off to shower and crack on with some work. Deadlines are coming out of every orifice in my body and time is fast running out so I had best get going!

Ciao for now!

Monochrome Drone...

Hey guys! Apologies for yet another absence.
I am rubbish!
Today I trecked into town with Andi. Big mistake. We froze! What is with this weather?!
This time last year we were limbering up for our first BBQ, today we were nearly crying from the cold and snow.
Anyway. This is what I wore, minus the high shoes (Haven't worn them in a while and thought they deserved a photo or two) and plus a big fur coat.

Shirt - H&M, Dress - River Island, Bag - Primark, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell, Earrings - Topshop, Sunglasses - Borrowed from Andi

This dress was bought for me for Christmas a couple of years ago by my boyfriend, but I haven't felt too comfy wearing it because the arms are funny and show a bit of armpit bulge, however, when teamed with a plain shirt I think it looks pretty good and is bang on with this season's 60's monochrome trend!

Tonight shall be spent doing coursework and cleaning our house for yet another viewing tomorrow. Fun times! Better get to it!

Love you all!

Something different...

So today I thought I'd do something a bit different and show you my favorite dinner... Seafood and Veg curry.
It is quick and really easy to make, and best of all, it is low in fat and calories. It also contains 3 of your 5 - a - day, so it is a quick way to be healthy!

You will need:
Half a large courgette
6  medium white mushrooms
Half a tin of chopped tomatoes
1 desert spoon of korma curry paste
1 teaspoon of olive oil
1/3 of a bag of mixed seafood
1/2 bag microwave wholegrain rice

Rice - approx 130 kcals
Seafood - approx 100 kcals
Veg - barely any!
Tomatoes - around 40 kcals
Curry paste - around 100 kcals

First, chop up the mushrooms and courgette into small chunks and cook them with the oil in a saucepan until they start to soften.

Add the tomatoes and curry paste and stir. Cook on a high heat to boil off the water in the tomatoes, then add the seafood. I prefer to use frozen, cooked seafood because then it just defrosts in the mix and warms up before it goes rubbery.

Microwave the rice for 2 minutes, or if you are not lazy and know how to make rice, (unlike myself)  put the rice on to cook before you do anything else.
Once the seafood has warmed through it is done! And serve!

This whole meal takes no longer than 20 minutes, including preparation, so it is a quick, easy and healthy meal if you are short on time!

You can add any meat to the curry; pork and chicken work particularly well too, and instead of rice, new potatoes also go really well when in the curry, just boil them for 20 minutes before adding them.

I hope you all like this post, I found it fun and different from my regular outfit posts! Hop you don't mind the change!

Now I am off to bed!
Night all!

I just died in your arms tonight...

So this weekend I took a trip to London with Andi. We ate too much, shopped alot and I had my first experience in a hotel without parents. I know. Crazy.
Although I was only there two days, I found it to be a very educating experience. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a paranoid freak, and London normally only heightens this. I panic about getting lost and the fact that I am crap on the tubes. I don't like big crowds of people and the train stations are generally my worst nightmare. However, this weekend I found that I didn't panic a single time. I may have finally got my head around the tubes, or at least how to read a tube map, and wasn't even intimidated by the large amounts of people. It is safe to say that after this weekend I have fallen in love with the city, and cannot wait to graduate and hopefully start a life there.
Andi and I did attempt to take some outfit posts, however, it was so cold that we couldn't actually take our coats off, so we just got a couple of touristy type photos instead. And some of China Town, because the decoration was pretty damn cool.

These are just the couple that I took as we were so distracted by everything that I forgot about my camera! Also, as you can see, the weather wasn't particularly inspiring.

However, as I had finally found a baggy dress, which I had been looking for for ages and a day, I had to take some snaps of it to show you when I got home.
This is what I wore on the second day.

Earrings - New Look, Necklace and Dress - Topshop, Tights - Primark, Boots - Office.

This dress is actually amazing. It is soft and very warm, made from a thin sweater fabric. It is comfy to wear and easy to chuck on with a pair of grungy tights and shoes. I also think it is quite flattering. Or at least I thought it did a good job of hiding my tum until I wore it to work last night and someone asked me when I was due. (Not pregnant, just tubby) Despite that I still think it is pretty cool!
The tights however, are not a particularly successful purchase. They cost £3 from Primark, and I have to say, I don't even think they are worth that. The pattern is very cool and does a good job of grunging up this relaxed look, however, there is almost 0% elastic in the waistband. After wearing them for all of 5 minutes I found them quickly inching down my butt. Cue awkward hitching up in the middle of London. Not gonna lie, half the city saw my arse that day. They are okay worn beneath knicker shorts or a pair of spanx, but they will NOT stay up by themselves.
I say this as the queen of cheap, it is sooo worth spending a little more if you want patterned tights, because my experience of Primark tights has overall been quite shite.

Anywho. I am off to bed. I know. Rock and Roll. It has been a long few days!

Love you all!
